Why I Created Speaker Life Media
Speaker Life Media began with a question I could not shake: Where does a speaker go to learn the business, share a meaningful story, and get in front of the people who book stages?
I had been a professional speaker since 2007. I had also spent 15 years building a media company, beginning with a mobile magazine created for the woman on the go. That work taught me how powerful it can be when a story reaches people across different forms of media.
I have always loved print. I love its tangibility and permanence. At the same time, I saw what digital could do: connect a story to people far beyond the reach of a single printed issue. In 2019, I brought those convictions together and created Speaker Life Magazine as a resource for speakers, coaches, entrepreneurs, and the event planners looking for them.
Then COVID changed the speaking world. Events stopped, and my Amazon Prime show was canceled. Like many people, I had to rethink how to reach an audience. The magazine became an even more important way to share ideas and create connections when meeting in person was difficult.
As Speaker Life grew, I wanted readers to hear the conversations behind the stories. We added a podcast and YouTube channel. Our summit evolved into the Speaker Life Summit, bringing the community together in person. What began as a magazine grew into an ecosystem where a strong message could travel from the page to the screen to the stage.
I created Speaker Life because I knew talented people whose ideas deserved a wider audience. I still believe that. My goal is to help them get seen, heard, and considered for the opportunities their work has earned.
